The Co-Op Group is opening a new distribution centre at Newhouse, Lanarkshire which will create 300 job vacancies. The Co-Operative Group is going to spend £25m for the new distribution centre.
The new store will be in 4.6 hectare and expected to create 300 jobs however some of the jobs will be taken by staff transferring from the Co-op’s Pitreavie depot which has just closed and Cumbernauld and Harthill which are set to close.
The Newhouse depot will be served by 400 lorries
